reflect i on_ mirrormirror_cecilia white 2004

reflect i on was a work shown at Cecilia White’s solo show, ‘mirrormirror’ at Rocketart Gallery, Hunter St, Newcastle in August 2004. In this show the artist questions what we know to be real, what may be hidden and what happens when we contemplate the possibility of another reality. Chairs, a rug, mirrors, text and  lighting are used against the stark walls and viewers are invited to sit, talk, contemplate… the artist is also silently there.

This body of work included reflect i on, in front is behind and mind sigh and continues the artist’s exploration of living with the (un)knowable, the self and the space in-between.
