living in the middle of things/

walls for example/

solidarity bothers me/

bringing a tension to questions/

that form a quivering meniscus/

across my mind/ only

to break under the weight/

of my lips as words/

porous bodies of exhalation/

while I search for appearance/

finding instead that painful resistance/

to emptiness as more full/

than any glass
