aletheia implies the state of not being hidden. Cities, like people, are places of concealment and revelation. Places where we hide, define, reveal our selves. In this series of intimate paintings Cecilia White asks what happens as we approach the unknown or the, as yet, unrevealed? What does the approach disclose within us? What is in the space between the clear and the concealed, the skin beneath the skin as she describes it. Over time, this page will continue to reveal those considerations one city at a time.
